Spring Wedding at the White Barn in Emmett, Idaho

A Spring Wedding Day at the White Barn in Emmett, Idaho
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about Kelsey and Braden’s wedding (besides the amazing spring weather they had) was the sense of community. Every wedding has its own unique “community” feeling, and theirs is definitely one that has stuck with me. The whole day was fully centered around the people that were there with them in such a special and unique way. I also vividly remember hearing the most sniffles during their ceremony that I ever have at a wedding, I swear everyone was crying during their vows! It was so sweet. One of the fulfilling parts of weddings is experiencing the relationships between the couple and their guests, and this one filled that bucket for me.

A few notes from the Kelsey & Braden about their wedding day and the venue:
“It was truly the most dreamy day of our lives. We got to enjoy time with just our bridal party prior to the wedding, which helped relieve some of the nerves prior to the ceremony. The ceremony was also a favorite. My brother was our officiant and it was so special to have him be the one to marry us surrounded by people we hold so near to our hearts. And lastly, the dancing. We incorporated some traditional Greek dancing and then partied the night away.
The White Barn in Emmett was an easy choice. Not only was it beautiful, but the vendors, Angie and Marshall, were easy and wonderful to coordinate with. We loved the modern and classy interior of the barn and the space that was provided outside as well! Our favorite part of the venue was the ability to have all our favorite people under one roof. It felt cozy, but did not feel crowded or overwhelming. We were also able to stay in the suite located above the barn after the wedding which alleviated the stress of having to find a ride home and allowed us to have that time together and reflect on the best day of our lives.”
Their advice to couples currently planning a wedding:
“Start with the venue and the photographer, everything else is gravy.
It's so easy to say "enjoy the journey" looking back. Planning a wedding is hard and stressful, but THE day was beyond rewarding. Also remember the reason for the ceremony and the party, don't lose sight of your relationship in the midst of wedding planning. Have fun and be present the day of!”
More About the Day…
White Barn was an addition to the Treasure Valley-area venues that we needed.
First of all, I absolutely love Emmett. I think it is such a pretty part of the area that many people otherwise wouldn’t visit. The venue is nestled in the heart of Emmett and offers a quiet romantic setting and a picturesque barn that exudes timeless elegance. Whether you envision an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, this venue provides the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor spaces to make your wedding day truly unforgettable. I’ve only heard great things about this venue and the owners (see Kelsey & Braden’s input above to second this!) and they have some of the coolest amenities that I’ve seen at a venue. A personal being the getting ready areas for the bride & groom - they are insanely pretty (and great for photographing) and very thoughtfully designed! I mean a golf simulator in the men’s suite (the Black Barn)? No detail was missed.
From the beautiful ceremony setup inside, to the perfect Idaho spring weather, to the delicious (and I mean delicious) Greek-inspired food for dinner, Kelsey & Braden’s day was amazing. If you are from Idaho you know that a spring day can go from sunny and 80 to freezing and raining in the blink of an eye. But this day we lucked out with the sunny and warm, and the sunlight was so beautiful. There was laughing and there was crying and then more laughing. I got dizzy standing in the middle of the circle and photographing the Greek dancing, and enjoyed the most delicious baklava after. One of my favorite photographs from 2024 was of Kelsey’s dad’s face during her first dance with Braden, it was the sweetest moment. Overall, there are too many things to list about this day, I could go on and on. I’m forever grateful I was able to be a little part of their story!
Safe to say, White Barn has 100% made it onto my list of favorite venues in the area, so if you’re looking for someone to photograph your day there then give me a shout.
