What Does the Booking & Shoot Process Look Like?

    Once I review your info & check my calendar, I will get back to you with availability and follow-up questions. We chat about your vision and what you are looking for! When everything lines up, we talk about requirements for booking.

  • 3. Booking

    To reserve the desired date, a signed contract and non-refundable retainer are due. Once those are received, we finish planning all the details for your shoot/wedding!

  • 4. The Shoot

    The time has come! All of our planning is coming to life. We meet up for the shoot, or wedding, and have fun while capturing the moments.

  • 5. Gallery Delivery

    The wait is over, and you have a surprise in your inbox! Weddings are delivered 5-7 weeks from the wedding date, and sessions are 2-4 weeks from the session date.

  • When will we receive the final gallery?

    Wedding galleries will be delivered within 6-8 weeks of the wedding date. Session galleries will be delivered within 2-4 weeks of the session date

  • Will we receive sneak peeks?

    Waiting for the final gallery is so hard! Sessions will receive a handful of previews within 72 hours. Weddings will receive a preview gallery within 1 week.

  • Are payment plans available?

    Absolutely! Photography is an investment, and I want to be as flexible as possible. We will work together to make a plan that works for all of us.

  • Do you deliver RAW photos?

    Photos are only delivered in the final edited versions, as JPEG files. Editing is a huge part of the creative process - I put my heart into every image! I keep all of the good images (no eyes closed, duplicates, etc) and include those in the final gallery.

  • Do you offer photoshop services?

    The only altering of photos beyond normal editing (light, color, crop, etc) is the removal of temporary blemishes, acne and bruises. I do not offer any Photoshop services that include altering people or the overall image.

  • We are camera shy, what should we do?

    This is totally normal, and completely ok! My job is to make you feel comfortable. During the shoot I will give you fun prompts and gentle guidance to make the shoot flow and feel as natural as possible.

  • How much does wedding photography cost in Boise?

    I offer a few options for wedding packages with the ability to customize with add-ons as desired. Contact me for detailed pricing and package options!

  • Do you travel for wedding photography in Idaho?

    Yes! While I’m based out of Boise & the surrounds areas, I love to travel. Whether your day is in Idaho, another state or even a different country, I’d love to be a part of it!

  • What should I expect during an engagement photography session in Boise?

    My engagement sessions are fun, relaxed, and tailored to your style! I’ll help you choose locations in Boise or nearby areas and guide you throughout the session for natural, stunning photos.

  • How long does an engagement photography session last?

    Engagement sessions typically last 1-2 hours, depending on the package and locations chosen. I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and have plenty of time to capture all the fun shots!

  • What types of portrait photography do you offer?

    I offer portraits for individuals (graduation, branding, etc), groups and families.

  • What should I expect during a boudoir photography session?

    Boudoir sessions are so empowering & fun! I’ll help find the perfect location, give outfit tips and guide you throughout the shot to ensure you feel confident and comfortable.

  • How do I prepare for a boudoir photography session?

    I recommend wearing outfits that make you feel confident, bringing accessories or props, and staying hydrated. I’ll provide guidance and tips before your session to help you feel prepared!

  • Do you offer photography services outside of Boise?

    Yes, Novak Photography serves clients in Nampa, Caldwell, and throughout Idaho. We’re also open to travel for special projects or events.
